And when we say our last goodbye...

Gamma Gamma Gamma hold its annual Memorial Service to remember the brothers of Gamma Gamma Gamma who have transitioned to Omega Chapter. All of these moments seek to have brothers remember the eternal brotherhood and friendship the men of Omega Psi Phi share with one another. This year’s service was held at Forest Hill Cemetery many with brothers in attendance. Our chapter Chaplain officiates the program.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our beloved brother, mentor, and friend Richard L. Jones, Sr. has entered Omega Chapter. Brother Jones, Sr. was born May 11, 1963, and passed away on November 16, 2024.

Richard Jones, Sr. was initiated into the Gamma Gamma Gamma chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. on March 4, 2006. He was instrumental reactivation and continuance of both the Epsilon Theta and Sigma Zeta Chapters from the very beginning of his time in the fraternity. Brother Jones, Sr. served in many roles including Chapter Basileus from 2013 to 2017, was the Scholarship Committee Chair for over a decade and was elected and served as District Counselor of the Talented Tenth District, which serves Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin, from 2019 until his passing.
